Dorothy Arrieta holds a degree in Business Administration and Accounting and has been licensed as a realtor since 1987. Prior to being a realtor, she worked for Citibank International supervising the Accounting Department who is in charge of profitability and governmental reports for the bank and carried this experience with her when she worked for Societe Generale in Century City. The need for a more flexible time pushed her to look for a career that would allow her to spend more time with her children's needs specially with school and extra curricular activites of her 3 young children then. With her financial background she looked into working with a mortgage company as a loan officer. With her determination to succeed in this business, she became their top loan producer in 4 months. This industry allowed her to peek into the world of real estate and thought this would be something that she wanted to do. Having done business with top real estate agents by doing the loans for their clienteles, she learned what it takes to be not just a top agent but a good one at that by putting the needs of the clients first.

She decided to switch into being a realtor in 1987, which had become her world until now. Her drive to succeed garnered her the National Rookie of the Year on her first year with ERA and continued to be a top producer in the real estate companies she worked with which in addition to ERA, included Prudential and Remax Premier Properties. Her knowledge of the loan business was a big advantage in knowing and selecting qualified buyers which is of great importance in getting them the right property. In 1994 she joined forces with Steve Spies who himself has been in the real estate business for over 30 years and had one time owned his own real estate company. They joined Podley Properties in 2001 and has been a successful top producing team ever since.

Steve and Dorothy joined their knowledge in the standard real estate sales, REOs, short sales, land, apartment and investment properties in propelling them to be top agents of the company. Steve's knowledge of subdivisions and new home tracts and Dorothy's knowledge of the over all real estate process and client needs continue to attract more clients and prospects that need their expertise.
